Ideal Yeah, I agree, even the best player in the league, Kara Mbodj, is probably available for £2M.

Pablo Björn Bergmann is a striker and playing in Norway. His scoring record however is very poor.
17 goals in nearly 100 games for Lillestrøm!

Having watched some clips of him he is very creative and weighs in with some useful goals, but he prefers to play just behind the striker(s). If he finds his scoring boots as he develops then he will be one hell of a player, but for his creative play alone he is well worth bringing in if we agree a fee.

Ian RoyalAt a guess Brenders, I'd say it's a safe bet to say if we sold him for £14m, the profit would be higher than on Gylfi. So, the suggestion is obvioulsy that his value will be enourmous if he meets his potential as the next Ibrahimovic...melonheadImo its a win win situation because if Reading sign him and he develops like he should, the profit made on him will be greater than that of one Gylfi Sigurdsson.
actually its win/lose, cos he might not develope as he should/or be as good as you think.
also how would the profit be more than sig?
not that im having a go or anything

Ian Royal It's an example, not an evaluation. And when a player like Andy Carroll goes for £35m, it's not unreasonable. Especially seeing as he wouldn't be a player from a crap Scandanavian League at that point, he'd be a proven Premier League player.

Your logic would require Andy Carroll going to Liverpool for £35m to have been reasonable, which it wasn't.

TBM So if we have made a bid, I'm guessing it was rejected
