skipper
melonhead he did drop him too though
was one of the factors in losing the dressing room, and therefore leaving

Brendan dropping Gylfi was one of the reasons he lost the dressing room?? I don't remember that at all!!

Once Gylfi started to play he wasn't far off an automatic pick
and if memory serves me right he was "protected" a bit

Gylfi Sigurdsson international Thor goes on from morning transfer to Premier League Swansea. On loan or on the German side Hoffenheim lends Gylfi the season. Gylfi confirmed in an interview with mbl.is tonight, but he manages to Wales tomorrow.

Gylfi has been involved in seven of 17 games Hoffenheim in the German league this season but he was the team's top scorer last season. In the past four games, Hoffenheim have Gylfi not come into play

Swansea is a novice in the Premier League and the 15th faculty member with 20 points. The team has even played very entertaining football and Gylfi should be covered well with the style of the team but the coach Brendan Rodgers, who was temporarily in charge of Reading and Reading Gylfi played before he was sold to Hoffenheim fall of 2010 for just over one billion million.

Gylfi said to mbl.is he was very content to stay back to England. Premier League would be a very exciting and Swansea, the team played good football.

This will be four Icelanders who play in the Premier League in this new year. Heidar Helguson at QPR, Gretna Rafn Steinsson of Bolton, Eggert Jonsson Gunnþór with Wolves, which was a legal team today, and Gylfi Thor in Swansea.

I feel a bit guilty here as Swansea came into the discussios of Gylfi when the heard of Readings discussions with Hoffenheim. They stole him!!!

 Well that's started the New Year off well then hasn't it.

I bet he would have come back to Reading over Swansea if we'd a) shown an actual interest and b) could afford him.

He could have been the difference between us getting promoted or not. He would have fitted straight in, he knew the manager well, he knows most of the players - Le Fondre would have scored a fair few goals with Gylfi's play making. Instead we have to resort to watching him on MOTD and wondering what might have been. It makes it worse that McD didn't want to lose him in the first place.

And, Floyd, I don't care whether you think it's an over reaction or whatever. I <3 Gylfi. And he deserves to play at the highest level imo. :P

You're back to making stuff up brendy!!!

Rodgers eased him into the side during his brief time and would take him off a fair bit when he was looking like he was flagging. I think being eased in as he was probably helped him later in the season when he really started coming into his own.

McDermott also left him out of the side at times, didn't seem to harm his relationship with the players.

Latest from Iceland

"I'm really pleased that agreement has been reached between the teams and it can be said to be a dream come true for me to get into the Premier League," said international midfielder Gylfi Thor Sigurdsson to mbl.is tonight, but he goes tomorrow in rows Premier League Swansea.

'I first heard of interested Swansea when I came home to Christmas and the last few days have been ongoing negotiations between Hoffenheim and Swansea and today reached agreement between them, "said Gylfi Hoffenheim, but lends it to Swansea of the season.

'I follow very closely the Premiership and I have both seen and heard to Swansea play good football. It does not surprise me because I played under manager Brendan Rodgers in Reading team and he wants his team plays the ball from the last man, "said Gylfi, who keeps track of the morning and expects to attend his first practice with the team Tuesday and Swansea games against Aston Villa in the league tomorrow.

, Now takes just to get into the team and I intend it, of course. I'm hungry to get to play. This period has been difficult for me Hoffenheim. I've had to sit on a bench and I do not accept it. One may of course play.

I missed the first game of the season through injury but after playing one of six games in a row, I was placed on the bench and I have not played the last few weeks. I'm okay and I could hardly wait to get actively involved me in Swansea in the Premier League. This is a fun league in the world, "said Gylfi Thor.

Why would he come to Championship Reading, when he could go to Premier League Swansea, with the manager who gave him his first team league breakthrough?

That would be a truely stupid decision.

It's the fact it's swansea and they beat us in the final. If Karacan didn't hit the post we'd have the SIG

Yep, swansea spoiling the big day out...then stealing good former players after denying reading a place in the prem. Next they'll be coming to Reading stealing girlfriends and drinking the pubs dry.

Bend over.
