Ideal a Stephen Hunt kind of left wing style.

Not if Brian was "managing" it.

No, it won't be enough that'll be spent and it'll be on older players that'll not quite be good enough.

Left still comprises of Kebe and Cummings yet we concede a lot down the left. I'd like to see us bring in a RB to improve there.

Think Brian mentioned 2 or 3, unlikely to be enough or of sufficient quality. Currently we most likely need 29 points in the remaining 21 games. Over a season that's 52 points, top half. After 17 games about 23 points, a massive improvement on 9.

What would be a fantastic transfer window...
IN:

Tómas Urbanic - PERMANENT - Víkingur - £?
Samuel Fridjonsson- PERMANENT - Keflavík - £?
(Two U-17 Iceland Internationals, both 16 and have potential)

Stopilla Sunzu PERMANENT - TP Mazembe - £3 - £5m
(Quality defensive minded player, just what we need)

Tom Huddlestone - LOAN - Tottenham
(Wouldn't make sense - but would be a great signing also.)

Will add to this

Ideal
Pepe the Horseman
Ideal a Stephen Hunt kind of left wing style.

Shit?

I meant in a "chasing up and down, putting his foot in, and being everywhere" kind of way, rather than what some of our more luxurious import players are doing these days, disappearing after 20 minutes.

I think when Pepe says Shit, he's referring to the "player of the season" kind of shit. The kind of player who held the team together until his own form went in 2009 and results fell apart with it. Not that we need a committed player like that atm.

To be honest, I think its time we accepted the inevitable and made the best we can out of it. Sign Nortei Nortey and Yaya Banana and put a statue of Andre Bikey outside the Hotel.

We're not actually far away from a half decent side

by rhroyal » 20 Dec 2012 21:28

I read the rumour about Huddlestone and it got me thinking

Federici (Not ideal but will do)

New signing - Pearce - Morrisson - Shorey

Karacan - New signing - Guthrie

Kebe HRK

Pog

Add in another new signing such as Sig/Arshavin to potentially play as "number 10" or offer an extra option on the wing, and we're competitive in a lot of matches and likely to pick up a lot more points.

The issue is how far behind we are in sheer points terms; had we acted like this at the start of the season, perhaps we'd be in a better place. I think it's too late this season, but we're not far away from having a decent fist of it.

Of course this plan also involves McD swallowing his pride and allowing Pearce and Guthrie back in.

These signings could easily be on loan too, such as the Huddlestone and Arshavin rumours.

That's two signings, two returns from injury and a rehabilitation, along with a change of style and formation. It's a pretty long way. And I think you may be being overly positive about Pearce, Morrison, Karacan, Cummings & HRK

Gus the teenage cow I am in email contact with one Reading FC ITK and another one who may or may not be an ITK occassionally sends me PMs but I have not yet verified if he has genuine ITK status

anyway the latest news is that BM is disillusioned because just 2 weeks ago he presented Anton and NH with a list of targets and he has yet to hear any feedback on progress on these targets (leading him to fear for his future)

He is even further angered by news that NH and Anton have been scouting and in contact with players that he has not indicated he is interested in

the pogrebnyak name has been leaked

we are also looking at a guy called sulemaini, liam trotter and tom huddlestone

this information comes from the most delicate of sources, we'll see if any of it transpires, please keep it to yourselves though

well well well 3 or 4 days after I mention these names, two of the three have already been linked via the media

who would doubt my itk status now?

however i have been censored by my source and will not be revealing much more info about any deals until they are more or less done
