Coppell to Leave very soon?

by Binfield Royal » 03 Sep 2008 14:59

Alan Curbishley has quit at West Ham today so presumably the (Dis) Honourable Sir Trevor Brooking will suggest they can easily nick Readings manager.

Why not, it was piss easy last time!

If and when Coppell eventually leaves it will be to take a break from football, not to join a circus act like West Ham.

I am sure you are right but its more a comment on West Hams lack of Morals than on Coppells.

I also think that he would see out his contract and do the right thing unless, it was Man Utd in which case I do think he would ask to go.

Anyway this thread will be locked in a minute as it should be in general football or similar.

On the radio it says that Coppell would be flattered.
Surely not?

Insane, more like.

Maybe Curbs would come here. I'd take that trade.

He always seems thoroughly depressed, so he'd fit right in.

As I've said in the thread in General Football, Coppell is a gentleman and he is highly thought of both at the club and with the supporters. He wouldn't walk out on us, that I'm sure off.

Also, he has made it clear he needs a rest. Isn't that planned for next summer? So we too will be looking for a replacement if that is the case, very soon.

Coppell wont leave us in the learch.

That's what I was thinking.

It's common knowledge that he has a soft spot for West Ham.

His book 'Fly like an Eagle' will tell you all that.
