Ian Royal Frankly I'd much rather have a player who isn't a "name" and hasn't played at this level, but has been on reasonably good form elsewhere. Ratehr than a player who has done nothing since getting Wigan promoted about 5 or 6 years ago.

Deathy I appreciate that, but next season if we are a Championship club, we will have Noel Hunt and Shane Long as the recognised front two. Mooney as back up and possibly Bignall. I just think writing someone of Ellington's proven pedigree off is a bit short sighted when we will have a very tight budget available, and very limited choices in the transfer market.
Perhaps you're of the opinion we will make however many millions on Doyle, Hunt and Co and we will see a lot of it for new players.....just as we didn't last summer.
