AbovetheI Graham Poll is the best referee in this league.

Howard Webb is the best referee in this league - by a country mile.

Agreed! The fact that no-one notices his refereeing says it all.

What do you think of Mark Clatenburg?

agree - he doesnt stand for any of the tricks that players try (ie - trying to get penalties, etc) - just lets the game flow

Since Poll reportedly said something along the lines that he was going to "teach chelsea a lesson" and allegedly told john terry to"f**k off" maybe we should give Poll a roundof applause this weekend?

if we sing our mourinho song maybe Poll iwll join in?

Quite agree, he lets play flow, uses cards when necessary and more importantly does not act as if he is the most important man on the field.
Best ref I have seen after Colina.

Y25 Poll is a knob but not as bad as most make out

Uriah Rennie has gone right down in my estimations since weve been promoted

and Styles is a knnt

Poll is not good, but not the worst by a long way.
Rennie has always been terrible.
I agree with your comment about Styles.

We don't need this game, Blackburn are a rough-house and dish out the aggro too much. We'll be lucky to escape without injuries.

Mark Halsey has always made me laugh as i remember him refereeing our Valentine Day trip to Sheff Utd ... And a blatant handball by Morgan .. Royals Fans appealing like mad ... He says no ... Then sticks his tounge out! .. Legend!

Coppell was quoted after the Charlton game as saying he would be happy to have Poll ref our games everyweek.

Let's hope that bit of smoke blowing is fresh in Poll's mind and it encourages correct (RFC favourable) decisions today.

Good. Quietly efficient. Another who likes to let the game flow and does not have to be 'the star of the show'.

Poll will do ok for me. He owes us a pen !!

And hopefully, he will have a quiet game...the Blackburn defenders aren't fast enuf to catch the Reading boys to foul them. 2 - 0

I wonder if Poll had started off rubbish would he have got better? Not started off mediocre and steadily become awful...what was going

I know you are distressed like the rest of us, but good grief man you're talking gibberish.

Graham Poll is the best referee we have had all season, and I have no issue with him today except for perhaps when Sidwell went down under what looked a heavy challenge midway through the second half. As the incident was right down the other end of the pitch I shall reserve judgement.

Spot on - I can't really argue with any decisions he made today - always in complete control of the game and didn't fall for anything (except when their number 2 went down early on - GP knew he'd been conned and made it clear to him!).

Poll was useless today, but not as useless as our midfield.

Why

What did Poll do to merit the useless tag?

Compared to some o the rubbish refs we have had officiating our games I thought he did OK today

I thought Poll was OK, my only gripes were McCarthy (not interfering with play  ) standing in front of the Marcus when he saved a shot, McCarthys blatent dive/handball, and the tackle on Sid.

Give me Poll every game.

Graham Poll is a bottlejob. Failed to book McCarthy for his blatant dive. Also, I was confused towards the end of the game why Poll gave them a free kick when Sidwell was fouled just outside of their box.
