Scarface The club aren't interested in winning any cups which is why I don't bother spending money to watch the games.
Is it any surprise our best players want to leave when the club adopts this negative attitude to winning things ?

Who Moved The Goalposts? If you want a real sense of "pot" and "kettle", have a look at this -

Remind me, which team was it that really started the total devalution of the competition by not even taking part one year so they could take the money and run elsewhere?

Nezhen TBH, I've lost a lot of respect for Kitson over this incident. What with his statements about not liking training and his thoughts on the number of games played over Xmas, he is starting to sound like the ultimate whinging over-paid footballer.
The FA Cup is an historic world renowned cup competition. It is the finest of its kind and was the world's first round-by-round knockout competition devised in the world of football (pre-dating any international competitions such as the World Cup). So for someone like Kitson to come along and slate the whole competition in this way, is at the very least disrespectful, but in my mind a total disgrace.
Grow up Kitson and show some respect for those fans who have bought tickets for Saturday's game and more importantly something, which is part of the very fabric of our game.
I for one will look forward to seeing strikers such as Lita come in on Saturday who have a hunger and desire to do well for Reading on Saturday no matter what the stature of the game is !

Forbury Lion If Wimbledon had shared the beliefs of Dave Kitson and Steve Coppell then they would never have won it, same goes for Millwall reaching the final a couple of seasons ago.
To be fair, It's the beliefs of Steve Coppell that have rubbed off on Kitson..... these in turn are presumably backed up by the board expectations being solely based on league position and not a cup run. Perhaps when we play teams above us this belief that we're supposedly not good enough so lets not try will one day kick in there too which would be unfortunate as we would never have beaten Liverpool with that attitude.
The crux of Kitsons argument is that he's knackered and would rather have a rest than play in a competition Reading FC do not take seriously. You can't fault the logic in some ways, he needs a rest as does Doyle so play Lita and Long up front.

Forbury Lion It's controversal, In many ways it's such a stupid idea it might work.
