Speculation - Jamie Cureton

by Forbury Lion » 19 Jul 2008 20:25

Did well in the championship the season before last, 23 goals for Colchester. still has a great fondness for Reading.

Could prove to be a bargain signing (again) and the number 12 shirt is free.

I'd love it if Curo came back for a season. Unfortunately I cant see it happening. Now Kitson has gone we need a stronger striker who can hold the ball up, unfortunately Curo is more smash and grab. Although, we no longer have '...what a bargain' so there is a place for Curo to grab his old chant back.

Likewise massive Curo fan would love to see him back, pity it wont happen but he would be welcomed back like a long lost son by the fans.

Potentially massive dissapointment.

Always liked Curo though, I wouldn't be pissed off if we picked him back up.

There is no way we're gonna re-sign curo. He was my fav player back then and he would be again now, but there is literally no way we are even looking at him, let alone gonna sign him, sorry to disappoint.

We need a replacement for Kitson, and would be a tall player, a strong player, someone to hold the ball up and chip in with 10+ goals a season.

Curo is a great lad, fans favourite, natural goalscorer, but he isn't tall and he was never great with holding the ball up.

F**k Long off and bring him in, yes.

'greed, he would be in competition with Lita who is of a similar style. And Lita is still young, so no chance of Cureton coming here.

He was a great player for us - but no way we should consider this step backwards.
