Good win, should shut up some of the pcunts like Strap.

Ratings:

USA - 7 - Not much to do.
Rosenior - 8 - Dfensively superb, offensiely OK
Shunt - 8 - Looks suited to playing LB, some really nice link up with Bobby.
Sonko - 9 - Super Solid.
Ingi - 7 - Still looks a tad slow..but a good performance.
Kebe - 9 - Bloody awesome, so quick, excellent dribbling skills, and adequate crossing.
Convey - 8 - Looked close to the Convey of old.
Harps - 7 - Quiet, but decent.
Cisse - 9 - Really impressed me today, strong in the tackle, and we saw some passing ability today......could be the real deal.
Doyle - 6 - If we do get offered 7m we should bite Villa's hand off. Very average today.
Lita - 7 - Worked his ass off for the team

Long - 7 - Looked decent.
Kelly - 7 - Looked very capable defensively
Hunt - 6 - Not enough time to make impression.

If that happens, ie Doyle and Hunter then its another matter altogether as far as I am concerned. I cannot see how the loss of two more players could be defended. We will have to see but Madejski's most recent comments dont sound encouraging.

reading fc rock leroylero I thought Harper had an absolute shocker, as per usual.

WTF are you on!!

Please do enlighten me as to something constructive he did today?

Can he actually pass forward? and its worrying that as a cm/dm, he has absolutely no ability to tackle. He is appalling, imo. Especially so in the opening two games. But if you all merit him for his ability to work hard then fair dues, the man works his socks off, admittedly doing oxf*rd all.

Were you actually at the game? Because if you were at the game then I'm afraid you were watching a totally different game from me. Harper wasn't excellent today he was good. And that was because he looked comfortable on the ball and made some good passes. And as usual his work rate was great.

Harper did very well today, he was passing forward (he played one delightful through ball to Lita and several diagonal balls to the wingers). His tackling was also excellent (never thought I'd say that!)

I was, and unless you count pass's backwards as good pass's then he made absolutely none or very few. I struggle to think of one, forward decisive pass, he made all afternoon. Sidwell would have put in at least three or four defense spliting pass's today. But the most worrying thing is the way he gets over run in midfield. He can't and won' t put a foot in. And your comment about being comfortable on the ball is an absolute joke. The bloke shit's himself when ever he has more than a moment of possession.

If you watch Reading week in week out then you would realise today that Harper looked alot better.

Not necessairily. We play counter-attacking football, and we don't dominate in midfield.

What I mean is that we don't keep the ball in midfield like Arsenal for example, as soon as Harps or Cisse gets it its straight out wide, which is how we should be playing.

Which doesn't say a great deal.

He was ok today, Cisse gives the ball away far too easily for me. They were under no pressure from a DUMP side and quite easily strolled through the game. It was a competent all round performance, both did alright but I don't think they are good enough consistently for a team that wants to be challenging.

Hahnemann 7 - didn't have a lot to do
Rosenior 7 - good going forward. Marking was questionable as he spent most of the game on the miles away from their LM
Sonko 9 - Superman
Ingimarsson 7 - solid
Hunt 8 - linked up well with convey. Looked more comfortable at the back
Kebe 10 - amazing
Harper 7 - worked hard
Cisse 8 - great tackling and passing
Convey 7 - pretty good. Unlucky not to score after great bit of skill
Doyle 7 - Ok. Perhaps should have scored his chance
Lita 7 - Worked hard

Long 6 - Didn't have much impact
Kelly 6 - First touch was a sliced cross into the crowd
N.Hunt ? - Wasn't on long enough

Well i have been watching Reading for the past 18 years, and missed four games last season, so i think im in a pretty good position to judge Harper's ability.

Streets Yeah I'm kinda glad no one bought my ticket now.

Kebe - awesome
Harper - tackled hard at times, usual reliable self
Sonko - superman returns
Cisse - superb today, tackled well, good awareness and vision
Hunt - reliable
Rosenior - Murts wont walk back into the side so easily with more of the same

Overall very pleased. We grew stronger as the game wore on and could have walked away with it in the end.

Plymouth - dump.

Coppell - quiet
Madejski - tight fisted, milked his applause, ego restored

Agree with all that except
cisse - thought he was our worst player

Plymouth were appalling and we will have tougher games but you can only beat whats in front of you and we did that today.

Would add that Doyle desperately needs to get on a scoring run, he looks devoid of confidence.

I wouldn't say he 'bossed the midfield' nor was he 'our worst player'

6/10.

Solid, won a few tackles, covered well but his passing is DUMP.
