Wycombe Royal He's been on the transfer list for a few months and no-one has made a move for him yet.....

Tranfer window might have been a problem there.

Dirk Gently Thanks for the back-handed compliment .... but the point I was making is what I highlighted in the quote - the others are perfectly valid reasons to snap someone up. But if someone is expensive and failing then surely that's a complete no-no.

Surely the point is WHY are they're underperforming.

Put that right and you might get the player who was originally worth (in somebody's eyes) all that money in the first place...

Picking them up for less because of their current lack of form could possibly mean it's the best time go for them.

6 goals in 15 apps this season including 3 in his last 3. He's doing something right for them.

Still not the player for us though...

Mr Angry I'm surprised no-one has brought this up before, but Palace are looking to off-load their centre forward, Shefti Kuqi, in January to save on his reported £13K a week wages.

He is a big target man, a traditional centre forward, and would be (IMHO) an adequate replacement for Kitson.
Dave Mooney? His height is presumably one of the reasons why he was brought in when Kitson left; and his performances in the reserves have shown he definitely has an eye for goal. I would have thought that if we wanted a target man then it would only be fair to give him a chance to prove himself before we looked to bring in someone else.
