royalexile Should think it will be strange for the manplaying for another club after such a long service to Reading. One thing - good to see is he still has the desire to play even if it is for a team struggling to shore themselves up.

Top Flight Looks like Murty was at fault for the first goal that Charlton conceded on Saturday.

Good job he is using Charlton to make mistakes and get back to full match sharpness rather than making mistakes in our backline.

I thought it was the error of the defender who took the ball off his head and straight to the Forest player. Murty was all set to head the ball out for a corner.

kingsleyroyal Parky quote from Charlton website - "You have to get the ones with the right hunger and the two we had out there today in Graeme Murty and Jay McEveley were excellent, especially Graeme, who's only played one game in the last six months.”
Murts had a good game, he's back and when he's at full fitness again, he'll be pushing for that starting place again. You cant write him off yet.....
Just a thought - he is a great reader of the game, very good passer, goodvision, good organisational skills. I think he could really do a proper good job in a Makelele kind of role, sat in front of the back 4, protecting, tidying up and stringing things together from the middle.
Thoughts?
