Unless there is a Juventus style relegation from the Prem and said club like Chelsea for example were to keep 90% of their players.

Agreed. I was just curious to see if the odds reflected points or form
and more or less it's points in the bag. Really barring a miracle it's down to four now
and as you say < 90 will probably suffice

As you have put this in quotation marks, clearly someone said this; can you say who and when?

I have to say that I still think that there is nothing to STOP 3 teams getting 90 points; hugely unlikely but still a mathematical possibility.

The real idiots are those that claimed that Bristol City were on the slide....

You may argue with my interpretation of the stats on Swansea/Reading/Bristol
but the stats are real, it's a fact that Bristol cannot beat a top 11 side in
two-thirds of a season, just as it's a fact that they know how to beat bottom
half sides. The extra fact (and clear, justified interpretation) is that their
recent run of form involved wins against mostly bottom-six clubs.

MY interpretation is therefore that they are over-rated and will lose to
better clubs and clubs on good runs. First proof was Doncaster, and tomorrow
they will fail to beat Reading, too

The stats were facts. I was right. Right until to the bit that comes after those two words, one small, one large,

"MY" and "INTERPRETATION"

Stats never make anything inevitable, just likely/more likely/less likely

Just as there was very little chance of Reading getting 0-0 at Man Utd last season
but it helped to go there first game of the season

I would guess that this scenario has never happened before in the history of football.

third best at the moment, and probably the most bizarre season I have ever seen with us in it, you often see one fall apart, Watford last season, but to have the top 3 in the bottom of the current form like this is astonishing. ANd no one is really coming up to the top ala Palace the other year from the bottom at Xmas.

Yes in over 35 years of watching football I have never known three teams at the top of the table simultaneously going on such long and poor runs. All three are in relegation form and yet are still best placed to go up....but they wont be if they continue like this for a couple more weeks.
