ankeny Even if we win the last two games I got a feeling that it will be Sheff Utd that will go up.Just think who they are playing and who the manager is.He dont exactly love us do he.It will be a stitch up

I agree. Warnock is a life long Blades supporter and will want to repay them for taking them down from the Prem. He also hates Reading and there is nothing in it for Palace aso he will no doubt field his reserve team.

Warnock may be a loud mouth passionate twat. But he hates losing and is a professional. He will not throw the game against Sheffield.

I hope you are right Ian but his behaviour is not aways that professional.

Funniest thing - Cardiff to miss out on the play-offs on goals-scored!

Except don't then want us to finish 3rd and pick up Preston. This happens if we beat Norwich & Brum and SheffU beat Palace.

As long as we win on Monday night, next Sunday is going to be one hell of an afternoon

You think Warnock is going to do Reading a favour - delusions don't come any bigger than that!

I think nothing of the sort.

I think Warnock will try and win his last game of the season. Doing clubs favours has nothing to do with it.

I'm not hopeful for the result, but that doesn't mean I think it'll go Sheffield's way due to some ludicrous conspiracy theory.

Get REAL people. Even if Warnock had some stich-up plan in place, his players wouldnt listen, professional footballers wont just go out to lose, whats in it for them?

Strap is right, if we win both our games and Sheff beat Palace, we finish third ahead of B'ham and have to play a confident and in form Preston side in the play offs.

That 0-0 away to Forest, 2-4 away at Charlton, 0-2 away at Ipswich, 2-2 away at Watford, 0-0 at home v QPR, 1-2 at home v Saints, 1-1 awat at Saints, 0-0 away at QPR, 0-2 at home v Bristol city, 0-1 at home v Forest, 2-2 away at Plymouth, 2-2 at home v Charlton, 01 at home v Ipswich, 0-0 away at Palace, 0-0 away at Coventry, 0-1 at home v Sheffield Utd, or 2-2 away at Blackpool.

A good, but slightly disappointing season full of missed chances.

No MVP, it wouldn't

It will not be as blatant as that. Many teams (including Reading in the past) have taken the opportunity to blood youngsters in end of season games that have no bearing on their position. No one could criticise Warnock if he chooses to rest some of his more experienced players for a game on which nothing hangs for the Palace. The players on the pitch will no doubt do their best to make a game of it but Warnock will be telling them just to relax and enjoy the game and in so doing will maximise the Blades chances of winning. This has happened many times in the past and will no doubt happen many timmes in the future. At the end of the day it is our own fault as we should have beaten the Blades when we had the chance.

Bizarrely I'm less positive now than I was a few weeks ago (I've been singing from the "let's win our games" songsheet for a while) thanks to a Palace fan friend of mine pointing out that Colin has been playing a weakened team for a few week's now just so he can't get called out for being a hypocrite when he gifts his blades promotion next week.

Thankas again Senor Martinez

royalexile I'd rather see us consign them to the playoffs than see that happen at home. Then again, the cliffhanger of a Norwich away win, SU losing and us beating Brum at home would be an entertaining way to end the season.

Understatement of the Century.

As has been pointed out, all these posts will have been a waste of time if we don't beat Norwich. One game at a time, surely? (If we do, though, I'm betting heavily on a SU win and a Brum win and draw in the hope of losing it all but having one of the best days of my life.)
