Marcus' Last Season

by Y21_Royal » 07 May 2009 15:34

An admitedly unreliable source (the same that swore blind Stephen Hunt told him he was moving up north) again swears blind that Marcus won't have his contract renewed and will be moving back to the States.

I take this with a pinch of salt but it sounds plausible to me. Great keeper for us he may have been but now is probably the right time to say "thanks and goodbye"

Alan Partridge "Fanks and cya"

Probably not unreasonable. Like several in our ranks, has served us well and, while it be great if they stayed, it might sour the memory if they fail to perform.

After Sunday I'd say it was a bit late for that...

Probably about time and I can't see him being one to too happy and willing to take a pay cut after all the noises he's made in the past.

He's been a great keeper for us but he's not getting any younger and I expect him to be off in the summer.

Happy for him to stay, could be a good time to say good bye.

If he does stay, I'd rather it was more as back up than first team regular.

This is not really news though. He's already made sounds about giving it one more year. Good luck to him in what ever capacity that is.
