Several posters have made reference to Marek coming on and "changing games".

Can someone remind me which games these were? And I mean changing them in our favour, as opposed to in the opposition's favour - as I can remember a few of those.

Erm, he's come on and made us look more dangerous. But I can't recall him actually affecting the outcome of a game...

The Birmingham game. Scored a great goal and nearly scored again.

But coming on at 2-0 down in a game we had to win, you can't really say he changed it.

To be honest, much as I like Marek, he's been the wrong player in the wrong team and you have to look at how he fits into the team ethic. I desparately want to see him do well for us but you need to be able to do the simple things well before trying the extravigant and someone like Bryn (a seriously under-rated player) does a much better job of doing the simple things and being a match winner.

He changed the match vs Bolton at home on 2nd Feb 2008. A reckless lunge at Steinsson in the box gave them a penalty. True it was save, but Bolton never looked back from that point.

But didn't, in fact, change the game given we lost, no?

Scored a great goal against Liverpool... we lost that one too.

Fact is, if he left no-one would notice.

True, but if he got a run of games I think we'd see the benefit. He's been quite unlucky.

Coppell had him in his starting 11 for the opening game last year and he got injured, if he'd not got that knock against Forest I think he'd have been a key part of the team last year - he's been injured again at roughly the same time this year making it veyr hard for him to nail a spot down

Matejovski is a player that still excites me when he starts a game, but then he doesn't deliver. He has that creative touch, that pass, but the rest of the team were never on his wave length. If Rodgers can achieve that, we have a player!!

He's a bit like Long, he looks a lot better as a sub than a starter. I think both Long and Marek offer something a bit different that can disrupt the opposition - Long has pace and Marek nice passing/skill. When they start, they seem to get found out rather too quickly.

Heaven help the world we live in when Long gets compared to Matteyovski

I never compared Long with 'Matteyovski' - by the way, who is Matteyovski?
