So guys, whats your opinion? Personally, I would drop Feds for Hamer and replace Cisse for Howard.Tabb in for Gunnarsson, and Pearce for Ingi

Hamer

Tabb Mills Pearce Bertrand

McAnuff Karacan Howard Siggursson

Rasiak Church

Subs : Feds
Gunnarsson
Bignall
Taylor
Cisse
Matejovski

Bassically the same except i'd keep Afed in the team only because its between a fairly good keeper or a unproven keeper with a bright future. If it was mccartney'spl' i would be more happy with him in for the basic fact he has had games this seasons.

Hamer's been pretty much ever-present for Brentford for the previous two seasons.

If Fed is match fit, swapping him for Hamer is something BigBookWatchman would do.

He's gone.

Let it go.

Like the look of this side but would keep Federici in goal instead of Hamer....assuming Feds is fit.

...................Fed
......Tabb, Cisse, Mills, Bertrand
McAnuff, Howard, Karacan, Sigurdsson
.............Rasiak, Church.

Think Benitez will have noticed the glaring flaw in our defence that is pace and will try and exploit it, so switch in Tabb and Cisse for Gunnar and Ivar to counter that. 'pool are unlikely to go for big bruisers upfront afterall so ariel ability isn't as curcial.

Howard to offer more ability to keep the ball without putting the more lightweight Marek or Siggy in there.

Either that or try and stifle them with a 4-5-1 playing much deeper, in which case I'd like to see:

................Fed
Tabb, Pearce, Mills, Bertrand
...........Gunnarsson
McAnuff, Howard, Karacan, Kebe
...............Church

Then switch more attacking later if need be. Kebe and McAnuff to provide the pace to get up to support Church. I realise that leaves Sig out, who is one of our best players, I guess he could sit in Howard's place, but I'm looking at tough rather than creative.

But hasn't had games THIS season, which seems the relevant point in that post.

Would keep the same starting XI as was the home game, did well so no need to change.

Good to note you've put the date in the title thread just in case it gets called off.

Why does Pearce play if it's 4-5-1 then mate ?

My team would be any 11 just as long as Gunnarsson, Pearce and Kebe aren't in it.

Because I think Pearce is a better player than both Ivar and Cisse at the moment. With the 4-5-1 the idea is to sit back and hit them on the break with Church, Kebe & McAnuff, which means the team player deeper in general leaving less room behind the defence for Liverpool to exploit with pace.

That's the general idea anyway...

Although reallyit should have no bearing, away from home, play an open game and probably get stuffed.

Why does playing at home (apart from Reading) have such an advatage in sport? Same ball, same size goals, give or take same size pitch, same players. MentaLOL fragiLOLity.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Big Mac go 1 up front, drop Rasiak and bring in robson Kanu on t'left. Push Sigurdsson infield.

Because Liverpool are likely to shift their team to counter it working so well.

A Fed

Griffin/Gunnarsson
Mills
Ingimarsson
Bertrand

McAnuff
Karacan
Cisse
Sigurdsson

Church
Rasiak

The only issue with that team is that our most creative player is out on the left - but then we're playing a direct style of play, get it to the wings and get balls into the box.

Why change the team from the first game, so I reckon it'll be the same starting 11.

Yeah, I suppose we could do with a fat lazy clumsy waste of space with no hope of scoring goals to partner Church as opposed to our second top scorer.
