New song for him:

"Sean Long, there's only one Sean Long"

I'll get my coat!

Arch From reading this thread, I'd say you've inexplicably got to yourself.

That doesn't even make sense :|

8)

Wrote it quickly during the match thread. I would love to hear it sung as I listen to BBCRB this weekend.

You seem to have wound yourself up into a froth about the alleged easiness of Long's goal with basically no provocation from anyone else.

Alan Partridge
Maguire
brendywendy turned the game for us yesterday- hes had well deserved criticism this season, and many doubted him
but fair play- the lad came up trumps tonight, winning the pen, and scoring a great header.
more of that please shane

Yeah he dived for a pen then got given cross of the century to score from.

He's still a lazy fat-arsed gap-toothed shithead

This where I have to put +1?

It was set up for Long last night. Similar to Odejayi being the hero against Chelsea in the cup for Barnsley. Long comes on to score his first goal of the season. He couldn't miss, the cross was so good, any contact takes it in.

I think Shane's days are numbered here to be fair, but even so it's his 15mins :)

Nonsense. Shane may have his faults but think back to when he went on his run early 2009. Almost all of those goals were scored via header. Much like Noel Hunt, Shane Long is great at getting his head on the ball and sticking it in the back of the net.

We had three or four other chances in the game where crosses were wasted as the player could not square it up with their head. Church and Ingi for sure. And I want to say Jem had one too. Shane could get hot and help us get back to mid-table. I hope he stays.

Brilliant performance from them all. Shane come on did exactly what he had to do and did it exceptionally well. Fitness and confidence was all that was needed. Well done.

Ideal
wolsey For a "lazy fat arse" he did an awful amount of unnecessary running around and defensive work last night. Plus how dare he win a penalty for us, and be in the right place to convert a perfect cross?

Seems strange that from a player who was disinterested, overweight and generally useless under the previous manager (Wonder why that was?)

+1

Rodgers is gone, and all of a sudden a bunch of the players look like different players alltogether.
"I wonder what the problem was" ;)

It happened at Watford too.

Coincidence surely.

Got to give him a lot of credit for the win - but still not sure he's lost the tag of 'super sub'. Just never seen him play well when starting ...

Is that a bit like Simon CHurch couldn't miss from a similar position and cross.
