Sun TzuFiNeRaInSpaceCruiser It's only today that I've noticed that the SPL has a post-split thingy going on. ie. each team plays each other 3 times and then the league splits up into 2 halves and they play the games amongst themselves in this new mini-league. I get the impression from the SPL website FAQ that this was to ensure that each team only plays 38 league games.
How long has this been going on for? Bit of a funny system to implement, tbf. It seems that some clubs are not happy with the remaining fixtures.
Its a retarded system tbf.
Specially designed for fans of the Old Firm presumably....

DrZoidberg This story is an absolute gift for me for winding up a lot of my Scottish based colleagues.

Ideal I saw some Rangers(?) fans on tv. They were singing: "Why don't you goo hooome, why don't you gooo hooome, the famine's over, why don't you go home"

Tredder Anyone that thinks Rangers are much better than Celtic is simply deluded, Rangers are a poor outfit and so are Celtic, quite possibly the worse standard of SPL for many many years, Rangers won the league because they were marginally less shitter than Celtic this season.
TBM Robbie Keane voted their Player of the SEASON![]()

(he only joined in February)
FiNeRaIn They would have finished 3rd or 4th at best without his goals. Which says it all.

Tredder One man doesn't make a whole side, it makes them better, but then Tomas Priskin could have made Celtic look better, but Rangers aren't that good a side and ths standard is way below what is has been in recent years, but Rangers were better than Celtic, that is fact, and if Celtic want to make inroads again, then they need to look at someone like Lambert rather than Lennon.

FiNeRaIn Billy Davies is a rangers man, If he goes to Celtic he knows he'll never be welcome back at Rangers, I'd say he probably wouldn't go there. Lambert has already said he doesn't want to go there at this stage of his career and with the treatment celtic fans have given the last few managers, I believe him. I don't like lennon much but it has to be said he has done a decent job and he does have the balls and the fight for a job like that. Mark hughes is also a possibility. Tredder, you're right in saying the standard of the SPL is as bad as its been - agreed. Had Keane not joined, you probably would have finished 3rd or below, which is frankly embarrassing though.

I've heard Kevin Keegan is set to be offered the job! The SPL though is a league which has gone down in standard and its rarely that exciting. Bar 4 games a season. Who in this country is going to watch Motherwell v St Johnstone on a Sunday afternoon when they could be watching one of the big 4?

Well not many as it's not the English league - I doubt many in Scotland will tune in to Sky's Saturday lunchtime showing this weekend - Birmingham V Burnley. I doubt many in England will for that matter.
