No Hoops world class Murk in the managers space on Match days. Think he inherited BR's old one.

wolseyWycombe Royalloyalroyaldaz If Bmac drives a huge BMW with the reg of *** BRY, then he is still at the board meeting. I just came back from the Stadium and this car was parked next to Howes.
Dont know what time the meeting started but i would love to be a fly on the wall.
His car always seems to be parked up there............
Is that not Bryan Stabler's car? (Finance Director/ Chief Beancounter)

SpaceCruiserNo Hoops Do we know for sure that it is £4mil.
It is the Eve Post
Interesting that you should ask that. I had a quick look back at the story quoted in the first post of this thread. Nowhere in that report does Hammond mention any figure and it does look like the Post has plucked that figure out of thin air.

Why ? It's a lift from the EP (?) and simply says what applies to all clubs.
We might lose a player or two, that's life. We'll also sign a few.

True. It's just that the team really appeared to be working well, the team being greater than the sum of its parts if you like. Remove one of those parts and you lose more than just one player's contribution. Maybe I'm just suffering from post-election blues.

No, you have hit the nail smack bang on the head. That was exactly the case with our record breaking squad.
You would hope that the business management side of the club would learn through experience. If they don't, we face repeats of this last season! And just as Sir Steve eventually lost the ability to perform miracles, so will Brian M.

Sun Tzu ow do you reconcile this with the obvious need (and frequent demand) for there to be continual improvement ?
We need to bring in new players, which by definition means we have to move on old ones !!
I'm unclear what business lesson needs to be learned from last season. I'm sure it would have been an excellent business decision to hold on to Doyle, Hunt , Bikey or Harper. We brought in a lot of money for players who wanted to leave and in certain cases deserved to be allowed to move on.
