If two signings this summer could convince me we had a chance of pushing for a top six finish this season, it would be Griffers and Kissmahwilly.

Please please please.

Would agree, I like both and think they add to the team when they play as they're both calming influences. Personally I'd start Kingfisherwilly ahead of both Ingimarsson and Pearce.

Name two players, going for for a small fee and a free, that we'd be likely to get that are either as good or better than Griffo or Zurab?

Spoke to my source last night-it pretty much looks like Griffin as decided he wants to come here. Apprently now his wife has to decide whether she wants to move.

Don't think Murts of today is better than Griffin....

Sadly you can;t specify that you want a player from the past to fill a gap.

I'm also doubtful that Sonko would be any better than any of our current centre backs given he's barely played for 3 seasons.

Well, Jay isn't going to get his wish as we've already dropped the idea of signing Khiz because he'll cost us £100,000+.

Griffin will also cost us £100,000+ so I'm not sure where Kitson12's small fee and a free come from!?

I take that back with Blackburn saying Khiz is free to find a club. That is good news :D

By your own estimation, Ian, what percentage of that post is complete bullshit?

Not a great deal seeing as we said we wouldn't be pursusing Khiz because his fee was going to be six figures. Then Griffs fee is reputed to be six figures. so £100,000+
Blackburn's new stance suggests that they are willing to drop the asking price to get Khiz off the books.

RFC hard ball on fees appears to be paying off.

Andy Griffin

Read into this what you will, but Andy Griffin's name appears to be on the list of players reporting back to Hogwood for pre-seaosn fitness assessments on Thursday.

(These US spy satelites are worth their weight in gold!)
