Ian Royal Blah blah blah. Same old tired blinkered shit.

Why don't you justify your argument with more than a 'blah blah blah you're blinkered' for a change Ian? I've never once read you putting across a sensible argument backed up with fact.

I do it all the time Royalee, and the likes of you always fail to do anything other than repeat the same nonsense about arm waving, tackling and forward passing, like that's all there is to football.

I stopped wasting my time trying to engage people in rational debate who clearly aren't interested in it ages ago.

But that's just it, you don't. You come out with comments like 'I think Kish is a card magnet' and use nothing but your preassumptions having not gone to many games as the basis for your 'argument'.

Selective memory there. I always explain my opinion. It's usually considered. You don't agree with it, that's fine. I don't really care.

So maybe Khiz won't pick up a lot of cards... what does it matter? You think he's the best things since sliced bread, I think that he's about the same as we've already got, but would improve the squad.

You think Harper is shit and always have been. Plenty of evidence to the contrary. I say he'll do well in the right set up. I can live with being wrong, and I'll hold my hands up if someone convinces me I am. As I have done plenty of times.

It matters that Khiz won't pick up a lot of cards when two days ago you called him a 'card magnet' and completely contradict yourself. How is he the same as what we've already got? Do you think hacking down players at Plymouth for fun and clatter Heskey about 5 minutes after the ball has gone is reading the game as good as him?

Harper's not always been shit, he used to be alright when he went forward more in the days of Pardew and had Sidwell to back him up. Unfortunately he's deteriorated dramatically, doesn't use his brain, sits deep, can't defend, can't shoot nowadays, can't head or tackle and just waves his arms around. He's been shit for a good four years now though.

I said I had a concern he may be a bit of a card magnet over the course of a season. He is about the same quality as we already have. He is not head and shoulders above Ivar and Pearce in my opinion. He is in yours. Fine. If he signs we'll be able to see who starts and compare defensive records.

What's your problem?

James Harper is off to Hull. Palace made him an offer but Hull will be successful. HTH.

Harper, excellent at shouting a pointing. Only comes alive as a player when playing alongside Steve Sidwell.

What's Sidwell doing in the Premiership and Harper at a Championship relegation battling side then?

With due respect Ian, and we have crossed swords a few times on this subject...

The only team Harper would do well is one in a league below what he's in currently - we let him go on the "front" it was to do with wages ...we let him go because he couldnt take us forward, and he'd probably have a paddy sitting on the bench, so didnt need discontent in the changing room..He went to Sheff U and after a few games they saw what we had seen and now hes gone on a free ..in other words, they dont value him...

Lets see what Pearson thinks of him after a few games in the new season, but cant help thinking it will be deja vu ...once more

Interestingly in todays paper, Nigel Pearson is quoted as seeing Harper as "a natural replacement for Jimmy Bullard"

Im assuming that a natural replacement for the injured Jimmy Bullard, and not the fit Jimmy Bullard :)
