Jeffers217 My life this is gonna make it hard for the fans on this board to complain about strikers now! Also means we won't be signing anyone on loan anytime soon :( But still this is a right suprising result :D

Unlike us lot, McD's plans do not change after every match. He'll still know we need a striker, as long as it is someone who will improve the squad.

For now, lets just enjoy the best result we'll have all season :)

We're better when we take the lead. Unsuprisingly.

The last 8 days is just the prime example of the trials and tribulations of being a Reading supporter !!

Why? How many have our strikers scored this season from open play?

Antonio and McAnuff are not strikers!

Royalee Which genius decided that it wouldn't be a good idea to take extra players in case Kebe wasn't fit...oh yeah, McDermott.

I'd like to see Church start but I think it will just be Long up top.

I didn't say they were strikers but Church and Long (albeit from the spot) did score- still desperately need another striker(s) though. More of the highlighting point i was trying to make was the fact that because of this, they'll be less of a panic by the club to get anyone in. But I'm fully loving this score!

Agreed.

Like any other result, it's a single result in isolation. We still need more / better strikers, but what a great result.

RESULT

Bonkers result. Well done BMcD and the lads. Hopefully sets us up for a run of difficult games.

Amazing result, couldn't see us getting anything from this :D

Think thats now 5 wins in a row against Laws!

At the start of the season thought Long and Church would both get double figures, Church possibly 15, and i'm sticking to that. If Long doesn't i'll prob accept he would be time for him to move on, but tbh i've been more concerned about Church's form this season..

Going 4-4-2 seemed strange at the time but McD clearly thought Church may get a goal which would give him a confidence boost.

4-0, away from home, and without Kebe.

This could kick start our season

Sarah Star Don't remember seeing anything nasty from them in the last few years tbf. Given us some comedy moments.

Here's a few

Oct 2008
3-1 Reading
"The visitors were allowed to get away with some hefty and illegal challenges by a lenient referee"
Burnley player sent off

This one I remember going to see. Don't remember anything unusually bad, though there might have been, but I do remember their numbers 10 and 11 being mouthy to everyone - including each other - and two of the Burnley players colliding when they were clear on goal. This game makes me laugh more than anything else - still.

Also remember some good chat with their fans and how surprisingly beautiful Burnley was when I went up to Turf Moor. They are rapidly becoming one of my favourite teams.

Why is the caller on the radio slagging off McDermott, Coppell, Madejski, Portsmouth...

'We should of beat Derby 8-0 on the last day of the season...'
