Is that the same guy who told you Matty Fryatt would be signing on loan?

Apparently Eidur is very close to a Reading move.

How much do you think he earns a week?

I'd love to have him here, but can't quite see us forking out half his weekly wage...

His experience would be felt by our current crop of attackers and only push them harder due to the competition

Sadly i can't see us paying ALL his wages, but if it's a short term deal can hammond muscle a deal to pay only a proportion of his wage?

As posted on another thread I hope this rumour has substance.
Brian has been most adamant that he will only sign a player on loan if there is a chance of a subsequent permanent signing.
Evidence so far is Griffin permanently and Kish for a full season so he has indeed so far kept to his word.
If he breaks his word and just gets the player in for a month I think it would be a waste of time.
I see Brendan is busy trying to get yet another central striker on loan,Bednar from WBA,and I hope we can do the same-players are out there Brian.

I thought Mc D said this wasn't going to happen last week? Isn't the daily facist just reprinting a week old story which has already been denied?

If McD was interested he isn't the sort to talk about it in the media, especially if they want to keep it quiet. So who knows, the denial could have been genuine or it might not.

Historically the Daily Mail has been quite good with it's speculation-the two Stoke players going to Preston was put up last week-and I remember them being first with the Goater and Noel Hunt transfers so I do take notice of what that print in the football section but not anywhere else in the paper.
FWIW I think their sports coverage is good and my missus likes to do the crossword-that's where my allegiance to Daily Mail ends.

But didn't Brian deny he was looking at Gudjohnsen this week in the EP. Brian is not the sort of manager to outrightly lie about something like this so think Bednar is a much more likely option - although we may well have competition from Leicester and others.

This is the kind of signing that would make me buy a club shirt, Nigel Howe and SJM I hope you are reading.

They were first with the Sidwell to Chelsea story too IIRC. Which naturally made me resent them even more.

Brain to hobnob - "I have no intention of signing Gudjonsen"

Hobnob reply - "Gudjonsen will make a very good signing for the club".

Incredible how many on here cannot read - Brian has said he is not after him!

its possible, for those with a memory, to think that this may well be another one of those occasions where RFC has said not interested publicly, while persuing an interest privately.

but then gain, it could be a load of old roobish
