Anyone who heard Dellors goal commentary on BBC Berks will know how passionate he is, a real supporter I would say. I hope TD gets an interview with BR before the big day.

When we played Swansea on both occassions we were not looking anything like promotion contenders.

If we had played them in March we would have certainly beat them IMO

I predict a 2-0 win, if Kebe plays he will have a field day with the width of the Wembley pitch

PieEater
rhroyal After tonight's euphoria dies down, we'll all realise that Swansea are in fact a very good team, probably better than us. Euphoria still here for now though. 2-0 royals.

They won both games this season but both could have gone either way. We lost on New Years day at Swansea despite playing well and missing a hatful of chances. I really don't fear Swansea, but actually I'm going to Wembley for a great day out and not really worried about the result. Whatever happens will happen

and we were without L-wood in both games.

We have better form than them over the last 33 games.

They are VERY beatable.

Roll on Arsenal and Man U

Royal Lady Positivity lads, positivity - who would have, seriously, predicted 3-0 last night?

It will be a much tighter game I think - but we can nick this. It will be Karma. Rodgers needs taking down a peg or two - I still haven't forgiven him for saying that if you criticise a performance "you're not a fan of this club" - he's way too up himself - so he needs to learn a valuable lesson - and we're just the team to teach him it!

1-0 Reading (Long)

One person specifically and I predicted "a comfortable win to NIL"

I predict a fair bit of Rodgers' Revenge in the build-up ?

If they play as well as they did against Forest in their second leg, then it will be like the Cardiff game - 10 man defending for us, most of the first half. But we can still do it. 1:1, 3:1 AET

We are the underdogs with the media, and, like last night, we will win.

I love the fact that all the media and the neutrals are already writing us off, whilst the opinion of Swansea fans appears to be "Shame there is no all Welsh Final, as it would have been great to beat Cardiff on our way to the Prem" without so much as a nod in the direction that we may pose a threat.

Interesting how when asked if their 2 victories over us in the regular season gave Swansea an edge, Rodgers hesitated before saying "it gives us confidence"; I got the vibe that he wanted to say "Hell yeah - Reading are THE team we wanted to meet in the Final!!!" but managed to check himself. If the Swans go into the game with any complacency, they will get a major surprise.

Also, all of this guff about "Wembley will suit Swansea"?? If Kebe is fit, he could rip the Swansea defence to shreds with all that space!

Bring it on.

Run up a rugby score, just for a touch of irony.

Anyone else on holiday for the Final seeing as its half term week?

To say I'm f.cked off would be an understatement.

Told the Mrs I was thinking about binning the holiday and she said she's off if I do. I need to think about that one ....

I like Rodgers; I agreed with his sacking but he always did his best for the club. Nevertheless, I noticed some exaggeration in things he said on the television last night. He said that before he came to the club, Long wasn't in the team; but that isn't right--Long was a part of the team in the last months of Coppell and was one of the only players who could score. In fact Rodgers messed Long about, though to be fair he was probably recovering from an injury at the time. Rodgers also said McAnuff wasn't in the team before he went to Watford: not sure how true that is either, but I'm glad he brought him here.

ISTR that Brendan preferred Church to Long as a starter.

But although we want to stuff Brendan's team at Wembley, deep down we know he's still "one of our own".

Same here. That's the first day of our holiday in the Lake District. We've tried contacting the hotel to change our booking, but it will cost us an extra £500 because of all their complications about when and what you book... so, I'm going to Wembley on my own and going to work out a way of meeting everyone else up there. Anyone driving up there after the game who can give me a lift?
