I'll put this here to save creating a new thread, without trying to make any point whatsoever.

Manchester United have complained to the Football Association (FA) over their allocation of tickets for next month's eagerly awaited FA Cup clash with Manchester City, reports said on Tuesday.

FA rules state that visiting teams are entitled to a ticket allocation equivalent to 15 percent of capacity, which would give United 7,100 tickets to the January 8 showdown at Eastlands.

City, however, have only offered United 5,500 tickets -- 11 percent of capacity -- citing safety reasons.

Local media reports said that the issue came to light during discussions about ticket arrangements for a possible replay, when City learned they would only receive 8,500 tickets -- 11 percent -- for any return match at Old Trafford.

United enjoy a special dispensation from the FA rules because Old Trafford's 76,000 capacity is far greater than any other club in England.

lol thats retarded, if its 15% then everyone gives 15%....picking and chosing who doesn't is absolutely laughable. I think thats a fair move from city and this special dispensation stuff is cringe worthy.

Except that we got all the tickets we asked for, because we underestimated the demand.

So, in fact, for "same" read "completely different"....

United should offer 11k or what ever it is but there's only a hand full of teams that would take the allocation up.

This is just petty stuff from City. If you can't cope with a big crowd then maybe the game should be moved to OT.

I quite enjoy these threads tbh, enjoy the mass-chomping and the indignance of people who're pretending they're not trying to take the hook out of their mouth

Yeah, obviously, they've all been reeled in instead of just actually mocking the OP for the over-tired, over-repeated and underwhelming observations.

Trolling doesn't work like that im afraid. The point of trolling is provoking people into making themselves look rash, stupid or a general idiot...usually out of anger. When the people responding to to the troll make the troll look stupid...it doesn't have the same effect so "reeling in" or "lol you all posted so I win cos i reeled you in" is a cop out and not a viable response.

Old Trafford can't cope with losing to bigger teams.

+1

Simply replying does not "reel you in" - otherwise why are you replying to anyone at all, Waxjers, fisherman or not? Does that not make you a gullible hand-caught specimen every time you post?

City only giving United 5,500 tickets for the FA Cup 3rd round tie. United entitled to 7,100.

City really are gay considering they always have at least 20,000 empty seats for cup ties.

I guarantee there won't be 20,000 empty seats against Portsmouth in the FA Cup. There probably won't even be 2,000.

Next mongdiv to make some stupid st9ment.

Tokyo Sex Whale Went to watch Chelsea vs Reading at Stamford and sat in a Chelsea stand for the game (got given free tix as there were some going spare). Probably been to 50+ grounds and it was the worst atmosphere I have ever experienced.

No wonder nobody goes.
