Earlier this season, Barnsley & Doncaster came to a reciprocal agreement, so that away tickets for the matches at both grounds were discounted by £7.
This all happened after supporters of both clubs saw the away ticket prices and indicated that they'd not be going to these games because of the cost.
That was a brilliant initiative and is the way forward - but it would require Reading to participate in offering the same discount - and it may be too late for this season, of course. But it's certainly a superb idea - and as both clubs found out, reducing the away ticket prices actually got them a higher away attendance and so made them more money in the end.
Time to make some enquiries tomorrow .....
