Having spoken to people involved with the legal side of the potential takeover over the last week, and the fact that there is a good chance it won't happen (no house viewing bullshit here), perhaps Brian wants to jump ship before the shit hits the fan at RFC.

Did you speak to them before the Burnley game? Seems unlikely that AZ would go to all the trouble of arranging a visa, spending time wandering around the stadium and be photographed enjoying the game if it weren't going ahead, doesn't it? The Sky cameras were all over him, to put himself in that position would be incredibly naive. Not to mention the money he's already invested.

McDermott to Wolves isn't the massive surprise many on here seem to think it is. They are a bigger club than us, they will give him a better contract than he's already got and he's got a third of the season still remaining to keep them up. Makes perfect sense for him to talk to them. Either way, he's in a fantastic position. More money and exposure at Wolves vs staying put at Reading and having the opportunity to take us up.

My gut instinct is that he'll go if it's offered to him. We should have shown some faith in him and rewarded his great work with a decent contract by now.
