Red :?

I know, it was a shit post in all honesty. i was just making my breakfast and wondering if there was any way to redact it. The irony was I'd only just finished rolling my eyes at Maguire's whine on the WHU - P'boro prediction thread.

No I meant perhaps not everyone knows who the director is.

Great word redact. Not used often enough in real life.

Looks like Ian is perfectly placed to provide expert advise during this take over.

Friday's Legacy I can only go by my source, and he told me Mullins and the young Arsenal player were coming before the news went public. In the past he has been spot on about Sidwell, Halford, N.Hunt and McAnuff coming here also. He has said that all the checks etc have gone well and the club are close to making an announcement. I asked today about these rumours and he told me it is all nonsense.

"John Madejski entered into a gentleman's agreement in January to sell 51% of his shares in the club. He knew at that time TSI would then invest upfront in the hope the club could make a late push for the Play-offs. The fact that Reading have managed to compete beyond that makes no difference to the fee agreed for these shares. John Madejski knew there was a chance promotion could be achieved and he took that into account when agreeing the deal. As far as I'm aware nothing has changed."

I will put my faith in him over anyone else as he is yet to let me down.

Just want to quote for emphasis!

Two different people who know people "in the know" have told me (weeks ago) that this takeover was hanging in the balance.

If JM asks for more money and TSI say no, what has he lost? The money for Roberts is a loan, which we should be able to repay just from a play off game or three!

TSI have lost nothing but face - but Samuelson is used to that anyway.

I'll believe it when I see it, I've never been 100% convinced. If it goes through, we should be careful what we wish for....

Take overs are always "hanging in the balance", there's a lot on the line for both parties

read the very first post on this long running thead no further anouncements will be made until a binding agreement is reached, I am still very hopeful this will go through because under the present regime we can`t rise to the next level with any confidence we can stay there.
And didn`t McDermott stay only after having a conversation with the prospective new owner?

We should also remember that, as a consortium, money will be coming from across the globe. Until we know exactly who comprises TSI, money could be coming in from every continent. I remember in one of the old articles Samuelson saying that he had money coming from New York and New Zealand. Consortiums aren't an easy business. The more people there are, the more complicated it gets. Just be patient.
