Ian Royal it's just occurred to me that we still have Howard on the books as well. I'd completely forgotten about him. Whilst he's obviously on his way out and isn't wanted anymore, he's still a better option in the middle than playing a winger there IMO. And TBH I'd prefer him to Gunnarsson as well these days.

So we do actually have plenty of cover in central midfield.

Yeh not a bad shout that actually. Howard>>Gunnarsson

Would be an awesome comeback if he came back in and put a peformance on

So, why keep a 36 year old midfielder on your books whilst doing your best to off load Howard in the transfer window? The fact Bryn is still here says everything about how highly the club rates Howard.

This

Brian isn't going to make wholesale changes at this stage of the season. Although i think Church will be on the bench over Cywka.

Does anyone know if Tabb will be fit for either of the Brighton or Southampton matches? I love that little man.

If we play 4-4-2 with Bryn in midfield against Brighton, we will get outplayed and lose.

Is still a doubt, more likely for Southampton than Brighton.

Because he may well end up as a coach in our academy and he covers full back, central defence and central midfield. Bryn is also pretty unlikely to find another club given his age and lack of games, at any decent level anyway.

Penalty in the last game? :?

West Ham 3 - 3 Birmingham

We now go to Brighton 3 points clear and with a chance of going 6 clear with only 12 to play for after that.

Win our final home games and we could be up! (GD depending)

A win at Brighton is a massive ask though!!

The old mans best mate is a Brighton STH - he's not at all optimistic about tomorrow - reckons they're having trouble scoring and described CMS as a headless chicken - probably means they'll do us 6-0 with a CMS hat trick...

I'd take a draw tomorrow as it keeps us ahead of West Ham going into final three games which is key with those two home games for us.

CMS was linked with Reading in The Sun this morning.

Howard nor Bryn will step straight in at this stage of the season without much (any) recent games under their belts. McD will go either Mullins in the middle or switch Jobi to mid and play HRK out wide. Either seems good and although I would go for the former, I bet he goes with the Jobi/HRK option.

Why is Harte doubtful? He looked ok to me after the game? But failing that Griffin > Mills any day of the week!

Home turf and their performance against us on Boxing Day suggests this may well be backs against the wall on Tuesday (and I don't mean that in a gheyer way).

Can see us losing it.

Yeah agree with that. Four points clear of West Ham and knowing defeat at Southampton still leaves us 2nd and one clear if West Ham win on Saturday. I would take that!

Just to wet your lips though...

If we win tomorrow night and on Friday, however unlikely that may be, West Ham would play on Saturday and be 9 behind us with 12 points to play for. If they lose they'd be 9 behind with 9 to play for... If they won then there is a very string chance we could secure promotion in one of our two remaining home games against Forest or Palace.

Harte's ankle was badly swollen after the game. He was on pills for it but is 50/50 for tomorrow night.
Leigertwood also had an ice pack on an injury after the game.

Leeds really did a job on us!

Don't agree lose tomorrow and we're f*cked - West Ham's next three games are all tough - Brighton will pass it around and frustrate their fans and I can see them getting a point at least.

Bristol is tough as they are still in need of points for safety and Leicester away is never easy and they are running into some form.
