He is saying nothing bad about us. just hoping his team go up, very much like we are hoping we do.

People on here really seem to get annoyed when anyone says anything other than positive remarks about our club. So the fook what? It has no bearing on our results and as long as we keep winning does it really matter what anyone says. Likewise it seems we worship anyone like a saint who says something positive about us.

We got 6 points, they are bitter.

My thoughts exactly... now. I'll readily admit that I was getting riled by some of their posturing before and after the game though.

Ultimately I think we all like to see it as the classic tale of hubristic barbarians from East Landan v the Pious boys in blue & white halos.
It does make us look pretty lame going on about stuff like that tweet from DG; I really don't think there's anything arrogant about it at all. It's what we'd say as fans if we were in 3rd place clutching at straws for an auto spot.

fvcking off now.

Why hasn't anyone asked why this is in the team board yet?

'greed with all those who've said it's not especially arrogant by the way

Well, just for the sheer arrogance of it, I hope Southampton falter

urz13 I think if we lose to Southampton then big wins (3-0 or 4-0) are needed against Palace and Forest in order to boost the goal difference and increase it over West Ham's. Then if they do win their last four an we also lose to Birmingham we can hopefully still finish ahead of them.

It'd be funny if we beat Southampton wouldn't it?

Despite the post above, yes.

Sadly though, often going for goals ends up 0-1

Maguire Why are you all so obsessed with West Ham? This petty-minded inferiority complex does my tree in.

They're just another team in the league. We beat them, move on. Who gives a rat's arse what they say?

And FWIW I don't see anything wrong in Gold's tweets. He's completely right to give out a positive message and if I were in West Ham's position i'd be saying/hoping/thinking exactly the same thing.

I do agree but had to laugh a little bit when I saw over someone's shoulder in the Evening Standard a full page advert for West Ham v Brighton billed as a "Top of the Table Clash", more so given that tonight there's an actual top of the table clash, as opposed to a a playoff scrap.

Had to laugh at KUMB though; they apparantly "effectively" have a better GD than us...... how does that work then?

"Why only a big Southampton win? I'd rip your arms off for a 1-0 to Southampton, ye 5-0 is even better but hardly likely.

Our GD is already better (effectively) than Reading's so if we go to GD against them we will probably win so don't need a big loss from them."

I thought our GD stands at +27, and theirs at +25; I didn't realise that you got an extra, hidden, 3 goals if your team won the World Cup in 1966.

Learn something new every day.....

Because for gd to come into it we have to lose a couple and they win a couple, other things being equal. If that happens their gd overtakes ours. Hence "effectively"

Not really. If we lose the next two games our GD is +25 at best, if WH win two their next two theirs is +27 at worst.
