Corky341
LoyalRoyal22 But yeh, interested in how far people actually have to travel to get to the Madstad for home games?

Until I was priced out of regular attendence (petrol price I mean, NOT tickets) I was a season ticket holder (until end of 2009-10 ) and for 5 seasons travelled up from Street, Somerset for every home game. During that period I only managed 6-8 aways each season.

Just for you interest really.

Similar story to me with the cost of kids, mortgage, fuel etc, last year I had to give up the season ticket and the regular 450 mile round trips from Shipley. I'd miss some midweek home games but at a peak was also getting to about 15 away games a season, although as the finances started to bite, I got more selective and only went to away games I'd not been to before.

Only been to 3 games this season

Travel 178 Miles from Chesterfield to home games.....but these days I mainly go to northern away days......A piss poor record of only 6 games this season (of which we've lost 3 and drawn 1!!)   .....First child is my excuse....Usually get to 12-15 games in a season, of which about 4/5 are at home......I'm ashamed that I'm not a better fan!!

Mike Hunt I travelled 10562 miles to watch a game

Showboater.

I saw a massive 1 (one) game this season. Charlton away in the League Cup - I left under the impression that I had just watched the worst Reading team I have seen in my life and we were nailed on certainties for relegation. Lol @ me.

Arch OK, joking aside, after Handbags' run of 300 successive games came to an end, what's his attendance been like since?

Missed this yonks ago Arch. But since you asked, since I missed Cardiff away on 10 April 2010 (because my brother got married that day and I was Best Man), of exactly 200 matches played I have attended 140:-

09/10 - 5 of 5
10/11 - 54 of 55
11/12 - 25 of 48
12/13 - 26 of 44
13/14 - 30 of 48

70% attendance rate. Jobi is pleased with that stat...

And it was 298 matches, not 300. Some people

I gave up buying my ST back when we were in the Prem.... just so as i can feel so self-righteous for making the effort for turning up at all.

But then, I am old fashioned, and was used to turning up and paying at the gate at EP.

Is it worth it semtex? I like a prawn sandwich as much as the next man, and christ knows the matchday experience is awful for a normal punter...

I'm the sh1ttest fan there is. Last season I went to less than 10 games, even though on some of those Saturdays I had nothing better to do. I must be getting old as the thought of sitting in traffic on the A33 for an hour, then paying £8 for parking, are the two straws that break the camels back.

Yes, I think so. Matchdays are more of an experience as you arrive around 12 and leave around 6. During that time I enjoy a couple of bottles of wine, a 3 course lunch, half time refreshments, full time snacks and more alcohol, a prematch quiz, visits from both past and present squad members and man of the match presentation. Oh and speech from the Madman.

If anyone would like to sample hospitality I can't make the games on 13th & 16th Sept and would accept half price.

I guess it's not for everybody.....
