TMD slated me for saying this, and that he could push Gerrard in an attacking midfield role. GS would be a very good signing for Liverpool, especially with Gerrard picking up knocks ever so often.

Agree Friday....I'd see Gylfi as a natural replacement for Gerrard in the years ahead....he does now what Gerrard did ...until injuries, and to a degree, age caught up with him....

For the reasons above, I think Gerrard will become more of a defensive/holding midfielder for Liverpool in the near future ..and that will open the door for Gylfi to become the creative force in midfield ....

...Well for the reasons that he'll be playing for one of the worlds most recognised teams, will at least double his salary, will play in Europe, and play with some quality players ...not surprised really ....

Well you'd have thought one of the national papers would've picked up on a bid for an in demand player like Gylfi by now especially a bid from his old club. We like to keep things secret and Hoffenheim obviously do as well hence the reason for their displeasure with Swansea at revealing a deal a week early but I'd have thought other news sources would have picked up any bid from us by now.

Apart from internet rumours I've not seen anything in the wider media that says we have made a bid.
