Reading 2-1 Wolves, April 97. Archie Lovell's finest 3 minutes.

Reading 3, Crystal Palace 2 - from the 106 season.

Quitesimply a game that had everything - the result was in question right until the very end, both teams gave everything and you couldn't take your eyes off it for a second.

The 2-1 defeat at home to Plymouth on the opening day of the 106 season. Just to tell myself that everything is going to turn out alright!

Saints away was magic, effectively the game we put one hand on the title.

Cardiff play off away last year. Better atmosphere than any game this year.

I was at both and considered Saints away to be better. But Cardiff was also excellent.

Reading -v- Arsenal at Highbury, in the mid 60's. We lost the game, but it was magic to be there, and see RFC playing such a dominant team, as Arsenal were in those days. I know there are other Hob Nobbers who were there that night. Colin Meldrum fired a shot at Goal from his own half, and hit the bar! Awesome! The atmosphere was amazing......

Reading 3 - 2 Palace.

This was the only home game I missed in what was the best season I've had following the team.

The reason? I was awarded the 'form prize' at school, and my ma insisted I couldn't miss the prize giving which was on at the same bloody night as the football. I only got the prize because I would've been the only pupil in my form tutor's group not to receive a prize that year, so he wanted a clean sweep.

I missed what was probably one of the best games to ever take place at the Vlad Stad, and a Leroy bicycle kick!

Agree with Ipswich 0-3 Reading...

Is there a video of it. I remember it well as I was worried going into that one, they werent a bad team... and we absolutely tore them apart. After that match, to be fair, Ipswich's season never recovered

Oh god, some poor sod didn't post this in AE did they? Horrible error, they won't like that over there. They are far too busy trying to outdo each other with their political knowledge and discussing what they call their lunch and other such weighty topics.

Assuming the thread title means a game that you were actually at to watch originally I would say the Simod Final because I have very vague memories of it.

If it was any game then it would have to be THAT game vs Tranmere

The 6-0 vs Wet Sham in the prem was a special game too.

I can't remember the game but one of my favourite Reading goals ever was De La Cruz's one-two up the pitch and slotting home. Fantastic goal.

+1

Because it was my first ever football match, and I wish I could remember more of it!
