Hoop Blah Agreed Dirk, but in the real world human nature is that you do associate certain behaviour with groups when you see those groups often display that behaviour.
That's why little old grannies fear a group of hoody wearing youths and why some people might thinking a group of swaggering black youths might be a danger too them.
That's not to excuse discrimination based on the way a person looks or the colour of your skin, but the behaviour of minorities will effect the perception of the majority. You'll know that only too well with your work with the FSF and STAR.
Yes, but its precisely those kind of lazy generalisations that cause so many problems ion so many areas.
Because Cardiff had a problem with hooligans a few years ago, all Cardiff fans are hooligans.....
Because football had a problem with hooligans 20 years ago, all football fans are hooligans.....
Because some Portsmouth supporters cheered when their team won the FA Cup, all Portsmouth supporters were complicit in their club's financial abuses .......
Because some people mis-claim benefits, all benefit claimants are scroungers.......
Because some black people are bullies, all black people are bullies .........
Because some paedophiles are gay, all paedophiles are gay..........
And so on, and so on.
