UpThePrem Hopefully todays win will make us slightly more attractive to potential signings. Certainly not favorites for relegation any more.

Bookies disagree with you at Bet365:
To be relegated:-
Reading 4/9
QPR 1/2
Villa 11/10
Wigan 5/4
To finish bottom we are 6/4 favourites

The value bet I would have thought would be Villa at 11/10-any injury to Benteke and they are f****d.

4-11 with Victor Chandler I believe. That's really short.

Where are the new signings?

by jellytot » 24 Jan 2013 22:19

It has gone really quiet on the signings front. Perhaps we are working
On something? We need more quality in. Huge games in February but we still
Need more in midfield maybe up top. If we get any injuries our squad will be exposed.
We have to give it a go.

Get the cheque book out Anton! Let's give it a real go!

We're not being left behind as such... Newcastle have just gone insane, determined to avoid relegation. Saints/Norwich/Villa haven't done much at all (?), and they are our proper rivals. QPR, well, oxf*rd 'em. They do everything like idiots and we can ignore them.

I heard we are bringing in Arshavin, Gylfi + Bent.

All 3? Come on. Reality? Anyway, it would be nice to bring in more quality. QPR have gone mad with a high risk strategy. We have gone down the softly softly road this window thus far. Kelly
Aside the others are a big ?

Hope we can pull out a real signing. The silence is frustrating.

Listening to BM on Radio Berkshire this evening, I got the impression that he is quietly confident of bringing in 1 or 2 new players. After all our moaning at the end of the summer window, I reckon any business will be done late. I hope we get a new striker, as it sounds like Jason Roberts' season could be over.

Agreed could see us getting somebody in the next few days, and then going for a last minute signing if the right person is available. Could also see Pearce going with someone else coming in exchange.
