blythspartan Listening to BM on Radio Berkshire this evening, I got the impression that he is quietly confident of bringing in 1 or 2 new players. After all our moaning at the end of the summer window, I reckon any business will be done late. I hope we get a new striker, as it sounds like Jason Roberts' season could be over.

As could his Reading career. He's free in the summer and he was asking for a new contract back in August.

Agreed could see us getting somebody in the next few days, and then going for a last minute signing if the right person is available. Could also see Pearce going with someone else coming in exchange.

Suarez would be a good exchange if hes off to Liverpool :D

Things are getting exciting. Redmond, Ince, Arshavin all mentioned? Aspas not ruled, and talked about. Ref. to the 'will spend big if needed'.

Any of these would be pretty good. Ince to replace McAnuff who will go to CAM? Who knows.

Yep he's certainly got his eye on a pundit seat when the music stops.
Would be good to see us bring in a CAM and another striker to cover Roberts, he's been pretty crocked this season.

Just seen Brian on Sky. He seems to think it will all be happening at ten to eleven on Thursday!

Don't care when as long as it does, we need an attacking midfield/striker option as a priority.

Bet Brian's talking about closing the Sunzu deal.

Oh yeah, I forget we do have a couple of things on the go at the moment, a couple of average centre backs (yawn)… I really hope that's not what BMD is on about.

That would be an anticlimax. Does anyone know what he actually said on the radio?

Sunzu and Davies, an anti-climax the Reading way.

Imagine if we got Gylfi.

We're signing Gylfi.

Sigurdsson will be joining Reading.

Gylfi, Gylfi, Gylfi, Gylif.

We need Sigurdsson.

There is no way we'll sign both. And there is little disappointing about either of them.

Gylfi has had a terrible season, everyone's forgotten about him now. We could get him on loan in the summer if we stay up....

Got the opportunity to ask McDermott a few questions at a lecture a while back, he said we did go in for gylfi in the summer but Tottenham obv weren't willing to let him go as he's pretty much dempseys sub, however this leads me to feel if we can dig into our pockets for the 'right player' that gylfi obviously is and most important Tottenham complete the holtby buy early then we may get him, in an interview a while back may have been after Tottenham game McDermott eluded to him playing in hoops again in the future being a possibility, I dunno maybe I'm just still in denial but I'm starting to see that he may come back if not this window then next :)

YES. I don't care if it's all lies.

Maybe that's why Church is still here?

As much as I would personally like Gylfi to return to RFC I am amazed that some people think that this could actually happen!… he's playing for Tottenham, and Rodgers has his beady eye on him why on earth would he come back to Reading?

So we went in for Gylfi in the summer after he'd just signed for Spurs? :?

It's not always about Money...

A) Why would he give up the possibility of european football for a relegation scrap?
B) Rodgers is keen to get hold of him so we're already behind Liverpool even if he was available (which he isnt)
C) Even if we did get him in, he'll be on wages over our head so that would destroy our wages structure

Just saying it as he said it man, figured he meant that deal was arranged before avb got there and they tried to come to some kinda deal as he wasn't in avbs plans or something.
