Well what you say makes no sense. Especially seeing as Sig is playing regularly for them, if off the bench a lot.

3 in and 3 out this week, if you believe the latest reports from Africa Sunzu's contract expired before the ACON's, and depending on whether Pearce signs a new contract we will be in for Davis aswell. Then the attention will turn to a creative midfielder and a striker.

its a real shame as those leaving have all again contributed in some way of us getting here in the first place, if its not Jay '0-100 in 2.4 secs without breaks' Tabb or the cult hate figure of Church.. i mean it stopped us highlighting how talentless Jobi was lol. for once i do believe that Reading have learnt that not investing..(dosn't always mean spending big but getting better quality of players in) simply does not work. 6 players in in this transfer window would be very good indeed

It looks as though the Reading manager Brian McDermott fancies a bit of Sky Sports News face time this week, too, with offers reportedly flying about all over the place. The Times says Reading have joined the pack of clubs chasing Tom Ince about, but the Mail says Blackpool will reject their £6.5m offer, in the hope of securing £7m. But the Sun says Reading have actually offered £8m – that's almost a whole million more than Blackpool want! Reading's confidence in their bid, whatever it is, may be reflected in the whispers linking them with a deal for David Bentley, who it turns out is still at Spurs and up for a bit of a kick about. Various back pages also have Brighton's Liam Bridcutt and Birmingham City's Curtis Davies heading to Reading this week, though they may have been tempted there by the Ure Museum of Greek Archaeology, we just cannot be sure. Admission is free.

So the rumoured Ince offer is presumably 6.5m down but rising to 8m with addons

Isn't Bentley the most proven of these attackers we're linked with though - and presumably he wouldn't cost all that much being out of contract soon?

Ince would get my vote though as he's showing a hell of a lot of promise and would be a great investment if we can "finish him off" :D

Could be a chance to save David Bentleys career, he must have humbled by now surely?

Now linked with Morgan Amalfitano

Wide player, but also plays central or attacking midfield.

Also David Bentley, plays wide but can also play as second striker

Tom Ince.. plays wide but.. etc etc

Me thinks we are after a versatile attacking midfielder...

Lets not forget that the best success rate for paper rumours is about 30%. With some of them down at about 20%. Twatter and forums must surely be worse.

Mind you, if we get even one that'd be nice.

I think it's very likely we'll bring someone in before the window slams shut, we're obviously in the market for at least one new addition. Knowing us, however, it'll be someone that the media has completely overlooked.

Not keen on Bentley. Hasn't played regular football for a long while and has a history of being very injury-prone.

Other rumours seem to be linking him with a return to Blackburn, which might be a better shout.

Or the rumour-mongers are aware of the fact we don't have a good attacking midfieder and have summised that we must be looking for one.
