Who is at fault?

by Royalwaster » 16 Mar 2013 15:58

No-one has asked the question, so I'll be the first to do so.

I think the inquest into the season has already begun. We will never know if more money was available in the summer and BM chose not to spend it. (he said that he was satisfied with the squad back then..) Not sure what to make of the Jan window.. we bought in a couple of reasonable players and some bizarre stuff too. Not sure what the thinking was really. If we really wanted to stay up we would have bought in quality.. we did not. Perhaps the money was there or BM again believed that the current squad should go forward with the shit 'they have earned the right' tag!! Well we have earned the right to return to the championship.

I think AZ needs to come clean about a few things. He has hinted that they got things wrong in the summer yet the hardly rectified matters in January. Is he now changing the direction the club is going in? Is there a new Reading way? I think the next appointment to the managers seat will say everything. If we can attract a good name and have a good go at returning to the PL next season then perhaps things have changed. If we go for a cheap option then the old Reading way will still be in place. More than anything I would like us to play good attacking football. Hoof and run is just crap.

The season has been a thorough disappointment. We have just been Championship quality throughout.

People are letting Kingsley off the hook here.

The players respond to the crowd. If the crowd is not at their best the players suffer. Kingsley is reponsible for enthusing the crowd. He needs to go.

I hope the club are interviewing as we speak.
