P!ssed Off Maguire Who cares if people missed the goal? You don't pay to see the goal, you pay to see 90+ mins of professional football, of which goals sometimes play a part.
I just about made it back to see the goal but tbh I didn't really care - it was a 0-0 game all day long and an unlikely winner didn't exactly ignite the flames of passion.
True.
I'd never leave a game early. But in recent months in certain games I have had a real itching to just oxf*rd off home early.
Would I really have been that bothered if I'd left 15 minutes early against Yeovil and missed a penalty? I doubt it.
If it's a deserved late goal after a decent match then that's one thing. A crappy goal at the end of a snoozefest is not something I'm going to jump up and down celebrating for anymore. I just can't be arsed to pretend to be excited.
IMHO you two are pretty sad Reading / football fans. True football supporters know there will be ups and downs (sometimes prolonged downs if you are less fortunate recently than Reading fans) and that you make the most of any victories!! Particularly a last gasp winner - there cannot be much more exciting moments as a fan!!
Who cares that we did not deserve it - that is not the point!
