It has the potential to be the one that trips us up. I think we should be ok though.

From Despair To Where? Barnsley 5 Reading 2

Reading take an early 2-0 lead, missed by most Reading supporters who are stuck in traffic on the M1.

You forgot to mention the traditional Steve Richardson o.g.
and the fact that we'd listened to the radio commentary on the coach

Barnsley 0-2 Reading

In this league you can't take anything for granted, but if we can get ourselves a couple of goals ahead we should take our foot off the gas and simply see the game out. No point chasing silly scorelines when we've got a decent Burnley side to face on Saturday.

No point in a new thread, but Jake Taylor, Aaron Tshibola and Jordan Obita all traveled with the squad to Barnsley today.

Agree with other posters, this is exactly and typically the sort of game we will lose.

Banana skin. Too high an expectation. Over confidence. Despite their position, the opposition are no mugs etc etc.

Thus. 2-0 Barnsley in an inept display.

Finishing the week in a backs to the wall display in the 'first Cup Final' of the season with a 1-1 undeserved draw against Burn-a-lee on Saturday.

We end the week in 7th.

Worst team in the league vs the most inform team

It's a banana skin - 2-1 Barnsley

Hope I'm wrong as we MUST beat teams like this

If we are cruising by half time give them a run out.

Barnsley will be so so determined. Sometimes these crappy sides who are destined for relegation give 900% against the big teams which I guess we are now

I was thinking this earlier. I can see him getting the boot if it's a particularly bad loss.

I was one of about 3 Reading fans there at kick off. A police horse nicked my packet of polos outside the ground.

It's the first Reading game I can recall being on my birthday, so I'm going to let my natural pessimism take over and predict a dull draw to burst my balloons.
