That Chronicle article has no sources, no direct quotes, and is pure speculation - but you're trusting it, even with their appalling track record for club related news? You should know better than that!

Well how do you know any better?

I don't, none of us do it seems. I had heard a deal had been agreed last week, and it's from a usually reliable source. RL knows who that is and knows someone who also knows them. It's a bizarre situation that just seems to keep changing.

Deal might well be more or less agreed but the fit and proper test, plus the league's approval, will take a few months so basically both rumours could be true...

The bloke i now work with who left a very high level job with the club in summer said:

"I don't know anything about it. I haven't worked there in months."

That's a direct quote.

Nope, he used a lower case r in Reading. Plus i'm not sure we'd be a state funded team. Still a moronic WUM.

Baird's contract hasn't expired, it expires next week!

Watts has also confirmed the club want him, and the player wants to stay, and it's just a matter of getting fit again before we talk contracts!

That paper is utter dross!

Well now, to add more fuel to the fire, Schards knows someone very well who has spoken to some American involved in the prospective deal, and it's not dead in the water.....

I thought people were assuming it was the Omani's who were in the frame to takeover and the Americans had pulled out?
