Carragher spot on in the post-match. Bayern had possession, Madrid had chances. Which one wins games?

They looked fairly average at Old Trafford too.

The opposite of Chelsea's match then. Home team keeps it tight, and puts the pressure on the 2nd leg home team to defend well, and not concede an away goal that they couldn't manage in the 1st leg.

We saw it last night. But they were better on the counter attack than we were against Atletico.

Not even slightly. Real did not set up to be defensive, they were merely pinned back by a team who play fast, pressing, attacking football. Real attacked when they could and got their rewards. Chelsea, as has been seen so often this season, set up uber-defensively.

It's not like Ancelotti to be defensive minded and organised (in true Italian style)against a decent side and play on the counter is it?

In La Liga they have the freedom to play a more expansive game.

But as you do some commentary, you must know.

Don't know why you're having a go at Ancelotti when it's the manager of your club who made Madrid into a counter attacking side in the first place.

That club has always looked to play attacking football, it's only when Mourinho went there that they started to play like a counter attacking team. Even Capello was a more attack minded Madrid manager than Mourinho.
