Am I missing something here? The date of the article is 10th April.

That'll be me searching latest news, seeing 10th, and expecting latest news. Anyway, seems quite the recovery - http://www.thisislancashire.co.uk/news/ ... ain_stand/ new stand and training complex.

I think Championship football is a long way off for any of the clubs in that division. Only Fleetwood and Burton are teams I could see sustaining Championship football at their current stadium and team level.

i've always wondered why some of these small north west clubs don't link up and give themselves a better chance, bigger attendances, income etc to them push on and try and establish themselves in the second tier. i know it would always be controversial but it's better than going down a few more leagues when debts catch up with you.

I believe wage budget can't go up and a limit on transfer spending. Still got to meet the normal homegrown reqjirements for champ league squad too i presume.

Pretty strong penalties.

Yep the home grown quotas and with people like Lescott, Barry, Sinclair and Rodwell all looking for a way out their CL squad could be filled with kids! Think it is a good idea for a punishment although i would like to see a points deduction too.

I don't think points deductions work in such small groups with few games. You're either giving them a tiny points deduction that doesn't have much effect or basically saying 'you're only here for the group stage and aren't making it out regardless of what you do.'
