Woodcote Royal
West Stand Man Striker in 'greedy' claims. Hmm. Brings back memories of the debates over Nicky Forster. I'll settle for a striker who is getting the goals and this one is our top scorer right now.

It would have been nice to have ended the match as a contest with some easy chances that Blackman's apparent selfishness allowed to go begging but, in principle, I agree wholeheartedly.

My main point was that he's making mugs of those who have been slagging him off since the day he arrived and long may it continue.

In fairness, those questioning him at the time were justified by his performances.

I think Clarke is now playing Blackman in his niche position, with good players around him. He's not quite good enough as a finisher to be a central striker and a bit too selfish to play on the wing. This right sided forward role he's in now plays to his strengths.

Does anyone else think that being 6th is great and it's even more brilliant as it feels like we've barely got going. Got a good feeling about the season to come

Long season ahead still. With many ups and downs to come.

and if being greedy is the only "scraping the barrel" criticism thatl we have to put up with from our scornmeisters this season, this virtual world will be a lot nicer place

Gotta say Gunts and O-Beats are going about their business nicely after pretty forgettable seasons last season. Slightly unsung heroes so far.

Whatever team SC puts out. Everybody seems to know their job. This team is built from the back forward. Solid and sound. All that's required now is to get those final passes clicking.

Yes - especially considering we scored v Brum and the ref didnt see it, AND we missed a penalty; gifted S Wed an equaliser in the last minute - add those in and we'd be sitting pretty.
But I won't start to believe unless we are still top 6 after the next 2 games -away to Burnley, home to Boro

To clarify, I was agreeing with you! I am amazed how hard some people will search for reasons not to recognise that he has got what it takes, my comment referred to other posters rather than your more balanced one.
