Royal Rother The usual bunch of oddly negative comments.

Given that only a few months ago you were making bold forecasts of a glorious promotion campaign I think I'll stick with my circumspect opinions, ta.

Genuinely amazed to see such a negative reaction. We totally dominated, created a lot of chances, and it clearly just wasn't our day. A bit more composer and confidence and we would have put three or four past a simply woeful Wolves side.

There was genuine effort from (just about) everyone for the whole 90 minutes, which is something that has been clearly lacking for much of this season. More games like that and things will start to come right - we might even creep into the top six come the end of the season.

Ah right, just checked back and you were the one who called Gunter a disgusting cheat for falling over after getting a shove in the back.

How very circumspect of you.

This is the only significant positive for me, but as I've mentioned in a previous post it's hard to gauge anything from yesterday's game because Wolves offered next to nothing after they scored the goal. A better side may have attacked and our heads really could have dropped. There's no way around it and it's not being negative but it was a really poor result and it's that simple.

The next two games should give a better understanding for how we are improving. Two strong performances and hopefully two wins, anything less will be worrying.

Thought we were a bit unlucky, but really we didn't create enough clear chances in the second half considering how we dominated - virtually all were shots from 20+ yards.

IMO the mistake was taking off Vydra, he linked up well in the first half and our best chances came with his involvement. Sa should be starting alongside him I feel. I don't understand why Dellor has it in for Vydra - his performances of late have been better than most of his teammates and 2 goals and 4 assists in 10 games is hardly a terrible return.

It's hardly a great return either is it? That's also why statistics (if you deemed that to be a good one) are misleading. The amount of chances he's squandered, for a player of his calibre, is remarkable.

I'd start with him on the bench and bring him on in the latter stages of the game to stretch tiring defences.

Hendo
Will95 but had one chance with any actual threat to it,

Which one was that then? The one which was cleared off the line, McCleary's shot that went just wide, Blackman's effort which the keeper nearly chucked into his own net or the one which Norwood crashed into the post?

If the penalty gets given and is converted, its a totally different game and we probably go on to win with ease.

Okay I concede, two. Otherwise a massive cock up by them, we caused no threat, and a cock up by us, no threat.

tbf to Vydra he runs, points and shouts a lot. He's just not being picked out with the right passes.

I can't understand how the rest of the team aren't on the same wavelength after so many games/training sessions

The ball was inches from going in on both, actually all 4 of them, if that isn't a threat to a goal, I don't know what is. The one the keeper nearly threw in, was caused by a very powerful and swerving shot from Blackman, we caused that to happen. A cock up by us yet still resulted in a goal-saving clearance, again, we caused that to happen, whether its from good play or not, we caused them a considerable threat with all 4 chances I mentioned.

OldBiscuit Personally, I thought we played like we actually wanted something from the game, unlike the previous 2 months when we rolled over and showed our bellies after 5 minutes play.
We lost but at least played with some desire if not imagination, and think we will come good soon.

PS Gunter........No! Don't dive. You played well and don't need to do that.

Hear, hear. Good to see somebody base their comments on what actually happened in the game rather than just indulge their disappointment at the result. Some of the player scores elsewhere are infantile nonsense, we completely bossed the 2nd half. On another night we would have won. Things to sort out but this was not a bad performance on balance.

Indeed. I don't know wtf it is with so many Hobnob regulars that they have taken to seeing the gloomiest possible scenario in every situation.

They would have been fun to be around when we were actually shit and in Division 4.

Pepe the Horseman Unless you think Chris Gunter is Leo Messi, how the fcuk did he have a chance of scoring?

By shooting as soon as he got in the box?
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you must have been at the game-on TV it was clear that he had a good chance to shoot but was more intent on planning his dive.
I wonder also how long he is going to wear the fashion accessory of the headband.
One of the softest players ever to play for our club and makes the likes of Meaker and HRK look like warriors.

Oh go away. Please.

Clearly enough other people feel the same as there is now a specific topic just about the weak Welshman.
