Millsy Just noticed one of my business rivals has an Apple Watch and I, being an Android man, have a Wear OS watch. It's quite cool but I can't help thinking the Apple one is probably more slick. :( Still mine has great battery life with its 3100 processor, much better than the 2100 older models.

Will keep you updated.

Championship record is...

1st with Newcastle in 2009/10
4th with Birmingham in 2011/12
3rd with Brighton in 2015/16
2nd with Brighton in 2016/17

He also led Brighton to 20th in season 2014/15 but had only been appointed on 31st December 2014

Wow. Such a top manager.

What do the Brighton fans say about him now?
I know at one time they loved him to bits but I got the impression that they went off him as the football got more and more defensive.

Exactly that as far as I know. Although I think that’s pretty standard, if you have a manager who comes in and gets quick success for a couple of seasons and then it fades away fans naturally lose faith

The one thing I hate about moving from Reading to Sussex is the Brighton fans.

They really do oxf*rd me off. Everytime I see one I call them a pcunt and flick the Vs at them.

How do they react to that?

. They're fine with it. They know they're pcunts

That’s fortunate
Some people are not keen on being called pcunts

That's right - there were many fans down here not convinced even when they went up ands the vast majority weren't upset when he was sacked...they nearly went down after looking completely safe with 10 games to go

He's not a top manager though. If he was he would be managing a top team in the Premier league

I don't think hes

I wasn't suggesting he should manage Germany or Real Madrid

So he isn't a top manager then

I think you're rather splitting hairs on the use of the word "top".

He is, without question a good manager. As Pepe pointed out, his 4 full seasons in the Championship have finished in the top 4 every time.

He will not guide Forest onto Champions League success, but he *might* get them promoted, in the next couple of seasons. That would be good enough for us, so it's sure as hell good enough for Forest.

Might not be good enough for Forest, they have ideas above their station based on a belle epoch over 4 decades ago that lasted a full 4 years of their largely average 155 years of existence, inspired by a man who died 15 years ago and they conveniently forget they haven't even been in the Premier League this century.

In fact, over the past 20 years, we've spent more time in the top 2 divisions than they have.

The majority I know are ok and Readingesque in their expectations and views.
But they're older generation ... they remember the Goldstone and bouncing around the lower divisions.
I suspect it's the younger fans that have the sense of entitlement, big club, etc.

Benrahma off to West Ham for 30 million, 25 upfront

Another good profit margin for Brentford

Soubds like Brentford are selling Benrahma for initial £25m + add ons, taking their total transfer income to £50m or so. Even with the deal for Toney, I think they'll struggle to replicate last season having lost so much quality.

To be fair, people were probably saying the same thing when they lost Vibe, Jota, Woods, Sawyers, Hogan etc

They seem to find replacements each time that fit in perfectly. They’ve started this season pretty slowly but they seem to do that every season so I guess time will tell

Mbuemo is still a quality player at this level, and Toney was prolific in L1. But I think they were carried by the brilliance of the 2 that have gone at times last season.

With all the money in the bank from recent seasons (Maupay too), you'd think that at some point they'll try holding onto their stars and giving it a real go. At the same time, turning down £25m at this level must be impossible if the player wants to leave.

Doing it once is impressive, doing it again would be amazing.

You just know that when Derby lose to Watford tomorrow night, Wayne Rooney will be manager Sunday morning.
