With Peterborough being very much a selling club I guess Ferguson just got fed up knowing that his better players would always be sold.
It sounds like a proper resignation rather than a sacking as he and the owner have always had a good relationship.

Just on our rivals, we, Derby and Peterborough have all yet to play Bournemouth again (all within a week in March at Bournemouth if their stadium is deemed safe enough :D ) so our old enemy might help us out this season.

It would be nice to get some help from them.

Assuming they'll reappoint Ferguson next time they're bottom half of L1.

Then he'll resign again next time they're bottom 3 of the Chump.

Hound and I'm pretty sure he is well aware, and probably quite likes, the Colin moniker

Warnock was on TalkSport earlier and I'm sure at one point he said something along the lines of "When you started talking about Colin I thought you were talking about me" followed by lots of nervous giggling.

Gary Megson has legend status in the blue half of Sheffield for knowingly referring to the cuddly Mr Warnock as Colin when on Sky Sports once.

Midweek fixtures then:

Tonight

Hull v Barnsley
Reading v Birmingham

Tomorrow

Derby v Millwall
Fulham v Peterborough

Win tonight needed to put pressure on Derby tomorrow. A Barnsley win would actually be quite nice as, if we win we would be just 5 points off them with a game in hand and a game against them coming up.

At this point, it's just important that we win our games to begin with and the rest will sort itself out. But yes, everyone else dropping points would do us the world of good. I think everyone will be looking at these midweek fixtures thinking they can win their respective games other than Peterborough.

Matthew Etherington and Simon Davies take interim charge at Peterborough.

They'll have to make do with a smaller squad against Fulham, as one of their players was sent off against Derby.

That’s a bit of a gamble.

Colin W a n k e r is an anagram of Neil Warnock

There's a great meme of him asking for a vowel on countdown.
