Would have to think that if we don't sign anyone today/tomorrow then they won't be available for the last friendly unless they are already training with us - so getting close to where we will be going into Peterboro with what we have.

Yep - even if training with us you’d think if they were trialling they’d be wanting a solid answer asap to give them a chance elsewhere

Expecting to see some movement today and/or tomorrow. Signs from yesterday suggest Dean is likely, Rushesha strongly considered (he looked a lot better than against Soton, worth a go I think), but Amos and Shodipo no longer happening

Just seen Mirror Man Darren Witcoop replying to a tweet last night that there should be news on an incoming(s) today, so we'll see. He's been pretty much on the money to date this summer.

Is Amos definitely not happening? I noticed him and Shodipo weren’t there yesterday but I wasn’t sure if they’ve have already been told they’d be signed. I agree about the lad from Swansea yesterday.

I think they’d be watching it if they were - didn’t see them (though that’s not to say they weren’t there as I didn’t see yiadom either who apparently was there)

I guess time will tell. There was a random tweet last week saying Amos was on trial at Sheffield Wednesday.

The fella from the Mirror is very reliable so hopefully some incomings before the end of the week.

Good. I imagine he'll be one of our starting centre-backs to start the season.

From what we have seen his concentration is not good enough to be a starting centre-back and I'm not sure what his best position is.
He does seem to be an energetic and committed player and those two facets go a long way towards making a player.

Hopefully he will improve with age as it looks as though we have signed him.

Think he posted a photo training on his own in the past couple of days, so would say, at best, he is still weighing up options - not expecting him back.

I think he was improving a lot throughout last season and would be a pacy option to pair with someone else. We'll see where Selles decides to play him, but he's certainly no worse than either Holmes or McIntyre at centre-back IMO.

Currently I’d be thinking it’s Mbengue +1 at CB. Holmes prob has just enough good will from last season to start alongside him.

Agreed. Mbengue and Holmes for now. Wouldn't be surprised if Abbey is now vying for McIntyre for the reserve CB spot. Could well be Abbey's breakthrough season.

I hope the rumour on another thread about the late payment of tax doesn’t mean we’re are under another transfer embargo. It all seems to have gone quiet again, following comments from Selles about signings being days away. I don’t trust the owner anymore and generally fear the worst these days.

When did Selles say days away?

Last he mentioned about transfers was a few days ago unless I've missed something more recent.

Deals can take a little time particularly if we have had to or chosen to move to new targets. My only concern currently is that it is starting to get too close to opening day to bring someone in and expect them to start that game.

I think after the Saints game. He said Savage was a couple of hours away and other signings days away. Tbf it is still days.

Will the Mirror man said we should see news of an incoming today, so that would fit in to that timeline. Completely accept people holding the club ownership in low esteem at the moment but nothing happening is not always immediately bad news. Until we get confirmation from the EFL that we are in embargo then I wouldn't worry too much - if nothing has happened by the weekend and we haven't heard anything then I think we can assume something is up.
