Took a kid to his first game on Saturday. Club initiative to hand out a goody bag to new supporters was brilliant and not just a token gesture of some Haribo's and sticker.
Well done to the club, credit where it is due.

Got to say I didn't see any difference in the SJM Stand or Fanzone area. All of the food and drink places looked the same. And that old East Stand ticket office isn't changing into a bar anytime soon.

When RC was answering questions I rolled up and he stuck a mic in my face, I asked when they were going to sort (the) WI-Fi out, that caused a fair bit of laughing in the crowd because I`m sure many of them thought I was talking Kelvin.
Luckily Rob gave a detailed explanation, not a quick fix though apparently.

Supporters attending Saturday's match will notice a marked improvement in the quality and clarity of audio played around the stadium, as the club unveils phase one of the audio upgrade.

Working alongside Landways, phase one goes live this weekend, where fans can expect clearer, louder matchday sound. More upgrades coming soon...

Big screen and DJ , either side of Coppell's Q&A, on the Purple Turtle stage in the fanzone too.

Think they may have knocked the input cable out in the Dolan during the upgrade.

Edit. Someone plugged it in.

Snowflake Royal Yeah, pisses me off as well.

They do it, but about 20 minutes before the game when no one is there
It's actually informative for the home fans too, knowing who the opponents are.
Appreciate they may continue to read them out a bit faster than they do the home team where they leave room for a cheer or applause.

Maybe they could acknowledge former Royals at this time, you never know it might get in their heads a bit too and we may be gifted with an Ady Williams style own goal.

Another potential prize draw for Season Ticket Holders - winner gets to read the team sheets out. Could be some interesting pronunciation going on!

Listen! Would struggle to be more interesting than some of those Mick and Tim come out with!

Didn't notice much different to be honest. Apart from downgrades.
Massive queue for the outside bar. Stood in it for 10 mins before giving up and going inside. Beer choice inside very limited. No ales but John Smiths available :|
Toilets look the same, sound sounds the same, screen looks the same.
Tom Petty gets the thumbs up from me though.
DJ sounded good outside but no-one was interested when I was there.

In all honesty I'm there to watch the game and have a beer or two so there's not much to upgrade as far as I'm concerned. Just get the basics right.

Also, £4.50 for a below par sausage roll.

Had to laugh when getting an E-mail Monday asking what it would take to 'bring me back' as I'd not been for a while.
Er, I was there Saturday...and this from the 'Head of CRM' :)
