Someone really needs to fix the stupidity of Scottish domestic football. Going back to two divisions would be a start.

I would have thought given there is now promotion between league/non-league that that would make sense to a degree.

A pyramid such as:

Prem - 18 clubs
Div 1 - 20 clubs
Div 2 (2 regionalised divisions) of 16 (for example) - Reserve teams can play at Div 2 level but no higher.

It won't happen as Celtic/Rangers won't want to give up a derby for a home game v Arbroath.

I don't think going to a 2 League system will make any difference. You'll just have a league that stratifies in a way that mirrors the current set up and it's not just the Old Firm that want to maintain 2 home games against both against Celtic and Rangers.

There's also already not enough money coming into Scottish football outside the Old Firm so I'm not convinced diluting the league will make it any more attractive to broadcasters.

If you look at other countries with similar populations, they also have 10 or 12 club leagues.

Well, Celtic won't have any Champions League money to rely on this season. That's an absolutely shocking result for them and really fcuks up any chance of Scotland improving it's co-efficient.

Slip one more position in the co-efficients this season and they lose another European place.
